From now on Im going to try to write this blog-site in english, so here we start.
fisherman Gösta Karlsson age 79,
behind him a model of Vindö 50 that he did receive when he retired.
Today I met with the 79 year old Mr Gösta Karlsson-Orust. Im here trying to recall our discussion.
Still at this age he regard him self as a fisherman as he was when he in 1960 was contacted by Karl-Erik Andersson (one of the two sons of constructer Carl Andersson) K-E wanted Gösta to come and help him out with the building of the very first Vindö 28 yacht.

Gösta accepted and his short term emploiment lasted until a couple of years after his retirement in the 1990-ies. After a life carrer as a yachtbuilder he still regarded him self as a fisherman.
After retirement his used his time a builder of small rowingbouts - Bohusekor but also lots of modelboats in different sizes as you can see on pics.

For me its actually very interessting to meet one of those very gifted men that made my granfathers drawings turn in to real life Yacht´s. Yacht´s that we even today can admire for its exellance in craftsmanship. As the years goes by, many of those talented craftsmen dissaperes to yachtbuilder-heaven.

Next year he is becoming 80 years old and is today one of a few of those craftsman´s involved in the history of the Vindö Yacht´s.
